Al Haramain Watch: Saudi Arabia Demolishes Islamic Historical Places and protects non-Islamic Places

The International Commission to Watch Saudi Administration of Muslim Places ‘’ Al Haramain Watch’’ accused Saudi Arabia of destroying Islamic historical places and protecting non-Islamic places in Saudi Arabia, after the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution last month calling for a “culture of peace and tolerance to protect religious sites” submitted by Saudi Arabia, which plans to organize a global conference to support this goal.

Al Haramain Watch said that it had published many reports of Saudi violations of Islamic archaeological sites in Saudi Arabia, and copies of these reports were sent to all international and Islamic international institutions. Earlier, Al Haramain Watch monitored a long list of Islamic places that were destroyed by the Saudi authorities, It paved the way for the issuance of fatwas and rulings from the Wahhabi sheikhs that adhering to the house of our mother Khadija, may God bless her, will not benefit Islam in anything, and that the home of the great companion Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq is a “shirk” that must be demolished, and that the Kaaba is just a building whose grandeur can be surpassed and tall towers for trade and profit can be built around it.

Since the mid-nineties, the Saudi authorities have been demolishing many of the monuments and buildings of Mecca, using the fatwas of Wahhabism that present the religion with a template of deficient and literal understanding of it, and reject any review or discussion of its views as if it were a status, and it presented to Muslims the religion in a solid and fossilized manner, while it relented it to the Saudi monarch to form it on their interests. The Saudi authorities are taking advantage of their financial control over the weak Islamic countries to empty the Islamic sanctities of their soul, and to rapidly destroy the ancient Muslim monuments in Makkah and Madinah. The pilgrim in Mecca hardly finds an archaeological place in the city, or feels the spirituality and the fragrant of the past, and the city has grown out of its historical and spiritual connections, and has become a profitable commercial city filled with international brands and American goods and filled with international malls and restaurants, which gave the city more spiritual emptiness.

Instead of the Saudi authorities preserving the heritage, monuments and architectural treasures to remind the pilgrim of the life of the Messenger, may blessings and peace be upon him and his companions, and how they resisted the infidels in the summer flames and endured the messenger’s harm from his uncle Abu Jahl, Saudi Arabia is carrying out a disgusting financial capital from the body of Mecca. Even the Kaaba, the Sacred House of God, diminished in size and prestige (its height is 14 meters) compared to the tall buildings and skyscraper towers (the height of the clock tower about 600 meters), which robbed the Kaaba of its symbolism in the holy city.

On the other hand, the Wahhabi fatwas that authorized the demolition of the great Islamic monuments and the home of the great companion Abu Bakr and others have been absent when the Saudi authorities are restoring the homes of their first kings and their monuments in the Diriyah region, the capital of the first Saudi Kingdom. Among the rare Islamic places and precious treasures destroyed by the Saud family, the house in which the Arab Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah was born in the Al-Hawashim people in Mecca, and the house of Mrs. Khadija bint Khuwailid, the Prophet’s wife, the first woman who believed in his humanitarian message, and built 1,400 public latrines in her place.

They also demolished the house of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, which is located in Al-Misfalah in Makkah, and the house in which Fatima Bint Muhammad was born, and it is in Al-Hajar Alley in Makkah. The House of Saud also demolished the house of Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib, the uncle of the Prophet and the first martyr in Islam. The Prophet said about him in favor of his martyrdom of everyone who fights tyranny: (The first martyr in Islam is Hamzah, and the second martyr who fought an unjust ruler and ordered him and forbade him and killed him) and his house is located in Al Misfalah, Makkah. The House of Saud also demolished the House of Arqam between Abu Al-Arqam, the first house that lit the world with the light of Islam, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, chose it to meet his companions and followers to teach them about their religion. And in it, the steps to spread Islam to the whole world began, and the House of Al-Arqam witnessed great events.

In it the first historical interview took place after a fierce hostility between Muhammad and Umar when Omar bin Al-Khattab declared in this house his belief in the message of Muhammad, and God responded to the prayer of his Prophet. This hastily destroyed house also embraced the first meeting between our master Muhammad and the noble companion Abu Dhar al-Ghafari, the fifth to convert to Islam, and the Prophet testified to him saying: “I did not carry al-Ghubra nor did the sky remain with a sincere accent like Abu Dhar al-Ghafari.” This house is located near Al-Safa in Makkah .

Instead of preserving the house of Al-Arqam bin Abi Al-Arqam, the House of Saud established a palace in its place, and offered it a favour to one of their mufti Abdul Malik Bin Ibrahim. The Saudi authorities also demolished the graves of the martyrs located in al-Mualla at the loudest voice of Mecca and scattered their remains, and the authorities also demolished the graves of the martyrs in Badr, as well as demolished the “historic” place of Al-Arish, which was erected for the Prophet while he was supervising and leading the battle against the rich Jews and the Quraysh! … The House of Saud also demolished the house. In which Ali bin Abi Talib, Al Hassan and Al Hussein was born. The Saudi authorities stole the gold in the Green Dome to inlay the swords of the Al Saud kings and their princes with it. Finally, the House of Saud dared to announce the demolition of the dome that shades the grave of our master Muhammad Ali, may prayers and peace be upon him, but they were met with great rejection, and preferred to postpone the matter so that they would do it while Muslims did not know. And in Medina, the Al Saud family destroyed Baqi Al Gharqad, where the immigrants and the Ansar of Muhammad’s companions rested and scattered their remains.
