The International Commission Deplores the Prohibition of Bedoun from ‘Umrah and Registration for Hajj

The International Commission to Watch Saudi Administration of Muslim places “Al Haramain Watch” has denied the prohibition of Bedoun from Umrah and the registration for the Hajj season this year. Bedoons constitute almost 10% of Kuwait’s population. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has made it clear earlier that it does not recognize documents without Kuwait’s temporary passports (Article 17) issued by Kuwait for Beduon, which means thousands of Muslims are deprived of Umrah and Hajj this year.

One of the citizens of the Beduon said that he felt very unfair after he was prevented from doing Umrah this year. He said that Saudi Arabia has lost the true meaning of Islam and the most important is that we are all equal before God Almighty. He said that Saudi Arabia has no right to control the nationality of those who want to perform Umrah or Hajj from Muslims. Citizens of all Muslims in the world intervene to redress Beduon and allow them to perform their rituals freely like other Muslims.

The International Commission called for the intervention of Islamic governments and international institutions in managing the Islamic places in Saudi Arabia to find a neutral party to manage these important Islamic sites for all Muslims in the world and to ensure that Muslims and Islamic countries are not deprived of Islamic worship due to their unrecognized nationalities or their opposition to Saudi Arabia and its allies.

The International Commission to Watch Saudi Administration of Muslim places “Al Haramain Watch” is a global organization that monitors the ways and means of Saudi Arabia’s administration of the holy sites in Mecca and Medina, especially the Holy Places, including the Islamic historical sites in the Kingdom. The Commission is based on its work as an Islamic reference and is keen on the interests of Muslims from the ocean to the Gulf and all areas of Islamic presence.
