The conference was the first of its kind for the Muslims of Thailand to be attended by academics, Hajj offices, university students and others to send numerous messages to the Saudi government on how to manage the current Islamic rituals and the need to reform and involve the experts of the Islamic world in administrative organization and the preparation of appropriate infrastructure.

Present at the conference were MP Nuljan Samart Komban, Head of Thailand’s Hajj and Umrah Office, Mr. Somchai, Mr. Mohamed Effendi, Dr. Imran Malulim, Dr. Jaran Malulim, Professor Elias Kititari, Imam Futhiwai, Wangbu and Mr. Muk Soliman. The participants in the conference expressed their rejection of the practices of the Saudi authorities using Hajj and Umrah against Muslims who oppose the policy of the Kingdom. They also refused to exploit the hajj revenues in the Saudi war on Yemen and diverted them to a US arsenal of billions of dollars. The participants talked about the Islamic importance of Hajj and Umrah from a historical perspective, where the historical development of Hajj and Umrah has been described since the imposition of God on Muslims as stated in the Surah Al-Imran, which says: (9), passing through the Sahaba, may Allah be pleased with them and the caliphs, and reaching the rule of the Al-Saud today. The participants stressed that practical steps must be taken to involve Islamic institutions and governments in managing Islamic sentiments in Saudi Arabia after the current administration failed to manage the poet properly to ensure successful Hajj and Umrah seasons without disasters and violations.

At the end of the conference, several important points were stressed, such as that no person is entitled to ban Muslims from Hajj and Umrah for reasons related to political opposition, and that denying Muslims the performance of Hajj and Umrah is not an Islamic act and no one has the right to put obstacles in front of pilgrims. Moreover, all Muslims are equal in Hajj. It should be noted that Al Haramain Watch was established in the beginning of 2018 with the aim of exerting pressure to ensure Saudi Arabia’s good management of the holy sites and the preservation of Islamic historical sites and not politicizing Hajj and Umrah. The Commission says that its depth is represented by all Islamic countries, and that it is keen to ensure that Saudi Arabia does not harm holy sites, whether it is inefficient management or any kind of management based on policies linked to individuals or influential people.
